Blueboat

We rescued Blue Boat at a yard sale in the summer of 2004, and she rescued us from the temptation of a somewhat larger boat that is quite probably more than we can handle at this stage of our lives.

Paul's nephew John races his boat at least weekly during the good weather, but it takes an incredible amount of time to get the boat ready to go out, and even longer to tuck her in at night. And that's nothing compared to my cousin Kathy and her husband who have to go all the way to Australia or New Zealand when they want to go for a sail on their boat.

By contrast we can hitch up Blue Boat's trailer and have her in the water at our local municipal marina within 20 minutes. And the lagoon at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum, is a nice place to spend a little time on the water while enjoying the marshland and wildlife.
